Maytag Oven/Range F30 Error Code

The oven temperature sensor is shorted to ground or between wires.

Common causes

  • Sensor wire insulation damaged causing short
  • Moisture in the sensor connector
  • Failed sensor

How to fix it

  1. Turn off power at the breaker for 5 minutes.
  2. Disconnect the sensor and inspect the wires for exposed copper.
  3. Check for moisture or corrosion at the connector.
  4. Measure resistance between sensor terminals and ground; if low resistance to ground, replace sensor.
⚠ When to call a pro: If the sensor is not shorted but error persists, the control board may be damaged.
