Whirlpool Oven/Range F2 Error Code
The oven temperature sensor is reading a short circuit (resistance too low).
Common causes
- Faulty temperature sensor (RTD)
- Short in wiring to sensor
- Pinched or damaged wires
How to fix it
- Unplug the range and remove the back panel.
- Visually inspect the sensor probe for damage.
- Use a multimeter to measure resistance; should be ~1100 ohms at room temp. If near 0 ohms, replace sensor.
