F03Warning

Whirlpool Dryer F03 Error Code

The moisture sensor in the drum is not detecting moisture properly, causing cycles to run too long or short.

Common causes

  • Moisture sensor dirty or coated with fabric softener
  • Faulty moisture sensor
  • Broken wire to sensor

How to fix it

  1. Clean moisture sensor strips (two metal bars) with fine sandpaper or steel wool.
  2. Check wiring continuity from sensor to control board.
  3. Replace moisture sensor if cleaning fails.
⚠ When to call a pro: If no improvement after sensor replacement, inspect control board.
