Samsung Refrigerator 5E Error Code
The defrost temperature sensor circuit is open, preventing the refrigerator from entering defrost mode properly.
Common causes
- Faulty defrost thermistor (sensor)
- Broken wire in sensor harness
- Loose connector
How to fix it
- Locate the defrost sensor (usually behind the freezer back panel) and check its resistance with a multimeter (should be ~10k ohms at 77°F).
- If resistance is infinite, replace the sensor.
- Visually inspect wiring for damage.
