LG Oven/Range F5 Error Code
The oven temperature sensor (RTD) is detected as open or shorted.
Common causes
- Faulty oven temperature sensor
- Loose or damaged wiring to sensor
- Control board failure
How to fix it
- Unplug the range for 5 minutes to reset.
- Check sensor resistance at room temperature (should be ~1100 ohms).
- Inspect wiring for breaks or burns.
⚠ When to call a pro: If sensor resistance is out of spec or wiring looks bad, replace the sensor. If error continues, call a technician for control board diagnosis.
