F2Warning
KitchenAid Oven/Range F2 Error Code
The oven temperature sensor is reading out of range or has failed.
Common causes
- Faulty oven temperature sensor (RTD)
- Loose or damaged wiring to the sensor
- Main control board failure
How to fix it
- Turn off power to the range at the circuit breaker.
- Locate the oven temperature sensor (usually at the back of the oven cavity).
- Check the sensor connector for looseness or corrosion; reseat if needed.
- Measure sensor resistance with a multimeter (should be ~1090 ohms at room temp).
- If resistance is out of spec (open or short), replace the sensor.
⚠ When to call a pro: Call a technician if the sensor tests correctly but the error persists, as the control board may be faulty.
