The freezer temperature sensor is shorted (resistance too low), causing inaccurate readings.
Common causes
- Failed thermistor (shorted)
- Moisture in connector
- Worn insulation
How to fix it
- Unplug and inspect the thermistor connector for moisture or damage.
- Dry the connector if wet.
- Test resistance: if less than 1kΩ at room temp, replace thermistor.
