Hotpoint Dryer E5 Error Code
The moisture sensor bars are not reading wetness correctly, causing over- or under-drying.
Common causes
- Dirty or corroded sensor bars
- Faulty sensor board
- Loose ribbon cable
How to fix it
- Unplug dryer and locate the moisture sensor bars inside the drum.
- Clean the bars with a soft cloth and mild detergent.
- Check the sensor wiring connection at the control board.
