GE Oven/Range F2 Error Code
Oven temperature exceeded safe limit, possibly due to a shorted sensor or control board failure.
Common causes
- Shorted oven temperature sensor
- Faulty control board
- Wiring short
How to fix it
- Turn off oven and reset circuit breaker for 30 seconds.
- Measure oven sensor resistance at room temp (expected ~1090 ohms).
- If sensor is shorted (near 0 ohms), replace sensor.
⚠ When to call a pro: If sensor resistance is correct but error persists, control board likely needs replacement.
