GE Oven/Range F2 Error Code

Oven temperature exceeded safe limit, possibly due to a shorted sensor or control board failure.

Common causes

  • Shorted oven temperature sensor
  • Faulty control board
  • Wiring short

How to fix it

  1. Turn off oven and reset circuit breaker for 30 seconds.
  2. Measure oven sensor resistance at room temp (expected ~1090 ohms).
  3. If sensor is shorted (near 0 ohms), replace sensor.
⚠ When to call a pro: If sensor resistance is correct but error persists, control board likely needs replacement.
