The incoming voltage is too high, which can damage components.
Common causes
- Faulty utility supply
- Surge or lightning strike
- Defective power supply board
How to fix it
- Unplug the refrigerator and have an electrician check the outlet voltage.
- Install a voltage stabilizer if the line voltage is frequently high.
- Inspect the power supply board for damage.
