Frigidaire Dryer E71 Error Code
The drive motor is not turning or has failed, often due to seized bearings or failed start switch.
Common causes
- Seized motor bearings
- Faulty motor start capacitor
- Blown thermal overload in motor
- Belt off or broken causing drag
How to fix it
- Unplug dryer. Remove belt and try spinning drum by hand – if hard, motor might be seized.
- Check motor centrifugal switch for stuck contacts.
- Inspect belt – if off or broken, replace and check motor pulley.
