The heating element circuit is open, meaning the heater is not functioning at all.
Common causes
- Broken heating element (burned out)
- Loose or disconnected wiring to heater
- Faulty thermistor causing cut-off
How to fix it
- Unplug dishwasher and use multimeter to test heater element resistance (should be ~10-20 ohms).
- Check wire harness connections at heater and control board.
- Replace heating element if resistance reading is infinite (open).
