The defrost heater in the freezer is not working, causing ice buildup.
Common causes
- Open circuit in heater element
- Failed defrost thermostat

How to fix it
- Unplug and check the heater element resistance (should be ~30-100Ω).
- Test the defrost thermostat (should be closed below -5°C, open above 10°C).
- Inspect wiring for burn marks or breaks.
