Kenmore Refrigerator F3 Error Code

The freezer temperature sensor is reading out of range, potentially causing temperature issues.

Common causes

  • Faulty thermistor
  • Wiring damage or connector loose
  • Control board failure

How to fix it

  1. Unplug the refrigerator and check the thermistor connector near the freezer evaporator.
  2. Measure resistance of the thermistor at room temperature (should be about 10k ohms).
  3. If resistance is way off or open, replace the thermistor.
⚠ When to call a pro: If the thermistor tests good but the error code remains, call a technician.
