GE Dryer E1 Error Code
The exhaust thermistor is reading a short circuit, causing temperature inaccuracies.
Common causes
- Faulty thermistor (shorted)
- Moisture shorting sensor pins
- Wiring harness short
How to fix it
- Disconnect thermistor and check resistance (shorted if near 0 ohms)
- Dry out any moisture on connector pins
- Inspect wiring for pinched or damaged areas
