F9Serious
Fisher & Paykel Refrigerator F9 Error Code
The condenser fan (near the compressor) is not operating, causing high condenser temperatures and poor cooling.
Common causes
- Fan motor failure
- Dirty condenser coils causing fan overload
- Wiring or connector issue
- Control board problem
How to fix it
- Unplug the fridge and access the compressor compartment at the back, bottom.
- Clean the condenser coils with a brush or vacuum if dirty.
- Check if the fan blade spins freely; replace if seized.
- Test for voltage at the fan connector; if voltage is present but fan doesn't run, replace the fan motor.
⚠ When to call a pro: If cleaning and fan replacement don't work, the control board may need professional replacement.
