Fisher & Paykel Refrigerator F9 Error Code

The condenser fan (near the compressor) is not operating, causing high condenser temperatures and poor cooling.

Common causes

  • Fan motor failure
  • Dirty condenser coils causing fan overload
  • Wiring or connector issue
  • Control board problem

How to fix it

  1. Unplug the fridge and access the compressor compartment at the back, bottom.
  2. Clean the condenser coils with a brush or vacuum if dirty.
  3. Check if the fan blade spins freely; replace if seized.
  4. Test for voltage at the fan connector; if voltage is present but fan doesn't run, replace the fan motor.
⚠ When to call a pro: If cleaning and fan replacement don't work, the control board may need professional replacement.
