Fisher & Paykel Dryer F3 Error Code

The thermistor (temperature sensor) is shorted or open, causing inaccurate temperature readings.

Common causes

  • Faulty thermistor
  • Damaged wiring to thermistor
  • Loose connector

How to fix it

  1. Unplug dryer and locate the thermistor (usually near the heater housing).
  2. Disconnect wires and measure resistance with a multimeter (should be around 10k-50k ohms at room temperature).
  3. If resistance is out of range, replace the thermistor.
⚠ When to call a pro: If the thermistor tests fine but error persists, the control board may be faulty; call a technician.
